Cambridge ESOL Diploma in English language Teaching to Adults (Delta) is currently offered to practising teachers of English as a Foreign Language with at least two years’ teaching experience as part of an MA programme (Educational Management). It is run within the Centre for Instructor Development, Education and Research (CIDER)

DELTA consists of three modules: module 1 - understanding language, methodology and resources for teaching; module 1 - developing professional practice; and module 3 - extending practice and ELT specialism. Bilkent University School of English Language has been running the Delta course (and DETFLA as it was previously known) since 1995 and prides itself on a high success rate. Many of the 100+ graduates from the program are now in leadership positions in the School of English Language and other educational institutions, passing on the torches to others.

DELTA is accepted throughout the world by organisations which employ English Language teachers. It has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as a Diploma in Teaching ESOL at level 5 (new NQF Level 7) on the UK National Qualifications Framework, which is equivalent to MA level.
